Increase your link popularity

Here's another method that really works!

Recently, the word was put out about a company called Marketleap that provides a link popularity tool to help search engine optimizers and online marketers quantifiably measure their website's online awareness and overall visibility (link popularity) for the top search engines. You can check your site at http://www.marketleap.com/publinkpop/.

Depending on the number of links to your site, you are rated with a limited presence (0-1,000 links), average, above average, contender, player, or 900 lb gorilla (500,001 links and up).

Of course, I wasn't surprised at the "limited presence" (857 total links) my site, http://www.cynted.com, received, but was amazed that I was only a few links short of an "average presence".

A quick check revealed that the vast majority of those sites linking back to me were Free For All (FFA) link pages. Now, everyone knows that with all the mass FFA submission services and software available today, your link on a FFA page would be available anywhere from a few hours down to only a few minutes, so what's the point?

What if you could locate hundreds of FFA sites that would list your site for more than a few hours or more than a few days?

Imagine if you could have all these links already pointing to your site just prior to submission to major search engines? It would probably take weeks or even months to do this manually.

Fortunately, there is a software program available that does just this. Aesop Marketing's Free Link Finder (FLF) is an interesting tool with a whole new twist on FFA submissions. FLF links tend to stay on pages longer and they tend to appear higher up for a longer period of time because no common database is used by existing services. You can download it free: http://www.roibot.com/f.cgi?IM8445_flf

Skeptical about if it works?

I'll let the numbers speak for themselves. On February 9th, I had a total of 857 links giving me a limited presence. That night, I let the FLF do its thing and check backed on February 16th. 1,410 links!

I now have an average presence. I crank up FLF again, the same night and checked back this evening (February 23rd). I'm up to 1,843 links.

FLF is running in the background as I type this article. Can I become a 900 lb gorilla this way? Probably not. I'll write an article update in about 6 months to let you know.

Well, there you have it. Another method of increasing your link popularity that works. Add this tool to your other link gathering methods and you're sure to be a contender at least.
